Job Description
A Pump Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fire pump systems and associated equipment to ensure reliable operation and compliance with UAE Civil Defense regulations, NFPA standards, and company quality and safety procedures. The technician works closely with engineers, supervisors, and clients to ensure all fire protection systems remain fully operational.
Responsibilities
• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair fire pumps and related equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fire pump systems.
• Conduct routine testing of diesel, electric, and jockey pumps.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in fire pump systems.
• Inspect pump controllers, pressure gauges, valves, and piping.
• Monitor pump performance and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and inspection checklists.
• Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, and clients during maintenance activities.
