Job Description – Procurement Engineer
Position: Procurement Engineer
Location: Salalah, Sultanate of Oman
Experience Required: 5–10 Years GCC Experience
Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil / Industrial or related field)
Requirements
• Minimum 5–10 years GCC experience in procurement for construction / MEP / ELV / industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of vendor sourcing and supplier management.
• Experience in handling technical procurement for electrical, mechanical, or ELV materials.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to read technical specifications and drawings (advantage).
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / similar) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and coordination skills.
• GCC Driving License is an added advantage.

Responsibilities
• Handle end-to-end procurement activities for project and maintenance requirements.
• Prepare and process purchase orders based on project needs and material requests.
• Source materials, equipment, and services from approved suppliers and vendors
• Obtain quotations, perform technical and commercial comparison, and prepare evaluation reports.
• Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and payment conditions with suppliers.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, and site teams to ensure material compliance and t imely delivery.
• Follow up on orders, shipments, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain and update supplier database and approved vendor list.
• Ensure procurement is carried out as per company procedures and project budget.
• Support estimation and costing teams with material pricing and market rates.
• Handle procurement documentation, records, and reporting.
