Job Description
A Pipe Fitter is responsible for installing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing piping systems that carry water, steam, gas, chemicals, and other fluids in residential, commercial, and industrial facilities.
Responsibilities
• Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems and related equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and piping isometric diagrams.
• Measure, cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes using appropriate tools and machinery.
• Install valves, pumps, flanges, fittings, supports, and other piping components.
• Perform pressure testing, leak testing, and system commissioning.
• Repair or replace damaged pipes and fittings.
• Ensure piping systems comply with project specifications and applicable codes and standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, welders, and other trades during installation and maintenance activities.
