Job Description
The Helper provides general assistance to skilled technicians and maintenance personnel in carrying out building maintenance, repair, and renovation works. The role involves handling materials, preparing work areas, operating basic hand tools, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting daily site activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Responsibilities
• Assist skilled workers such as painters, carpenters, masons, plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, and other maintenance staff during repair and maintenance works.
• Prepare work areas before the commencement of maintenance activities.
• Clean and remove debris, waste materials, and unused equipment after completion of work
• Hold and pass tools and materials to technicians during maintenance work.
• Support the installation, repair, and replacement of building components under the supervision of skilled workers.
• Carry out basic manual tasks including digging, lifting, shifting materials, and cleaning surfaces
• Ensure tools and equipment are cleaned, stored, and maintained properly after use.
• Report damaged tools, equipment, or unsafe working conditions to the supervisor.
• Follow work instructions and complete assigned tasks within the scheduled timeframe.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of work sites, storage areas, and company vehicles when required.
