Job Description
Fabricator is responsible for fabricating, assembling, repairing, and installing metal components and structural elements used in building maintenance, renovation, and construction projects. The role involves interpreting fabrication drawings, operating fabrication equipment, and ensuring all work is completed with accuracy, quality, and within the required timeframe.
Responsibilities
• Fabricate, assemble, and install metal structures, frames, brackets, supports, railings, gates, doors, grills, canopies, and other steel or aluminum components.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, sketches, dimensions, and work orders.
• Measure, mark, cut, drill, bend, grind, and shape metal materials using appropriate hand tools and fabrication machinery.
• Prepare materials for welding, fitting, and assembly
• Repair or modify damaged metal structures and fabricated components as required.
• Install fabricated items at project sites and ensure proper alignment and fit.
• Operate fabrication equipment such as cutting machines, grinders, drilling machines, and bending tools
• Inspect fabricated products to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor material usage and report shortages or defects to the supervisor.
• Complete assigned fabrication and installation work within scheduled timelines
