A Dermatologist is a medical doctor specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of conditions related to the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes. The role may include both medical and cosmetic dermatology procedures
Responsibilities
• Diagnose and treat skin diseases such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, infections, and dermatitis
• Manage hair and scalp disorders (hair loss, dandruff, alopecia, etc.)
• Treat nail conditions and related infections
• Prescribe medications (topical, oral, or injectable treatments)
• Provide patient counseling on skincare, hygiene, and prevention
