Job Description
An Assistant Technician supports senior technicians with the installation, maintenance, and inspection of passive fire protection systems. The role involves assisting with firestopping and fire sealant applications, preparing materials and tools, maintaining a safe work area, and ensuring work is completed according to project specifications and UAE fire safety requirements.
Responsibilities
• Assist technicians in installing firestop sealants, fire-rated boards, collars, wraps, and other passive fire protection systems.
• Prepare work areas, tools, equipment, and materials before installation.
• Clean and seal wall and floor penetrations for cables, pipes, ducts, and conduits.
• Help with inspections, repairs, and maintenance of firestopping systems.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and senior technicians.
• Support documentation of completed work and material usage.
• Assist in ensuring installations meet project specifications and UAE fire safety standards.
