Accountant
Job Description:
The Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing all financial and accounting activities related to ELV, Automation, Fire Alarm, and Fire Fighting projects. This role includes handling accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, managing budgets, processing payroll, monitoring project costs, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.
The Accountant must have proven accounting experience in India within the ELV, Fire Protection, or Automation services sector, strong analytical skills, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records while supporting operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Monitor project budgets, expenses, and cost allocations.
Prepare financial reports and submit updates to management.
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable
Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
Prepare and issue client invoices as per project milestones.
Follow up on outstanding payments and maintain receivable records.
Reconcile supplier and customer accounts regularly.
3. Budgeting & Cost Control
Monitor operational expenses related to ELV, Automation, Fire Alarm & Fire Fighting projects.
Assist management in budget preparation and financial planning.
Analyze cost variations and recommend corrective actions.
4. Payroll & Compliance
Process monthly payroll in coordination with HR.
Ensure compliance with Indian tax regulations and financial laws.
Maintain VAT records and prepare VAT returns (if applicable).
Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary documentation.
5. Documentation & Coordination
Maintain organized financial documentation and filing systems.
Support project managers with financial data and cost analysis.
Coordinate with suppliers, clients, banks, and internal departments.
Assist in preparing quotations from a financial and costing perspective.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience in India, preferably in ELV, Fire Protection, or Automation services.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations in India.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
Experience in VAT filing and financial reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills.
